Vote of thanks - International Yoga Day at Bolgatty Palace, Kochi

 A very good morning to all of you.

Respected PR.CCIT, DGIT, CCIT and all the dignitaries present here and my dear colleagues.

As Chairman of the committee for celebration of International Yoga day, I am here to propose a formal vote of thanks on this great occasion.

Before that I would like to say a few words on this occasion and request your permission.

Today we had a wonderful session by Yoga Guru Shri Rajendran of Shree Yoga Darshana, Tripunithura.

I had a great privilege of visiting Swamy Shivananda Aashram near Thiruvananthapuram at Neyyar dam, in the precincts of Agastya malai, I spent Yoga vacation for a weeks time and learnt few life lessons. 

Here they teach Yoga in a classical form under gurukul system where teacher and disciples stay together and practice /learn Yoga. It's a wonderful institution for imparting practical yoga knowledge in the most befitting manner. 

I saw a quote which made my thinking different was "an Ounce of practice is better than tonnes of Vedanta". We all are inclined to read and study a lot mostly to impress others. A bit of practical experience can elevate us than any amount of studies.

In this context, the International Yoga day for once in a year, sd become internal Yoga day for our well being physically and mentally. Today Shri Rajendran has given us a glimpse of what Yoga can do for us. I am extremely thankful to the Yoga guru for coming here and conducting session. Thank you sir.

Next our Pr. CCIT Shri BVG....in spite of official schedule...has to go to Delhi... I have no hesitation to admit that this grand scale .would not have been possible but for his persistence..

DGIT Anand Kumar, even though he is the senior most officer, promptly filled up Google form and attended the program for which I feel deeply grateful and my respects to his sincerity.

CCIT Govinda Rajan Sir, monitored on a day to day basis and gave valuable guidance for which I am deeply grateful. We could wonderfully arrange the program within a short time due to his support.

Team of committee...Leo, Johnny, PRO Gaurav from CCIT office...All member's. of Committee who stood with me and done work very systematically. Thank Justin for wonderful arrangements...overnight work done in spite of rains.  GM John and his team in KTDC for providing such a lovely location.

I sincerely thank all those who directly and indirectly made this event a grand success.
